This early and elegant little typewriter uses a swinging pointer to select the characters. At the other end of the pointer is a semi-circular wheel to which a rubber strip with moulded characters was attached (now missing). A metal rod pushed the pliant rubber characters against the paper.
Inking was achieved with two little felt ink pads that brushed against the rubber index strip. An ink dropper was used to apply ink as required.
