James Taylor is the founder of The Collectors Inc.™ – his heart, his vision. Years as an investment advisor showed him the value of collectibles, but the passion was always there. It’s in his blood and in his bloodlines.
Every collector has a story, but few as rich in history as James’. His family can be traced back to 415 A.D. The ‘Yales of Wales’ are the stories of England and Wales; they were among the first settlers in the new world. James is directly connected to William the Conqueror, the House of Tudor and many other Royals, and his family arrived just 12 years after the Mayflower.
Theophilus Yale, his great-great-great grandfather, a staunch United Empire Loyalist, settled in Canada in 1783. Beloved by the local Iroquois, he was made a chief of the tribe and presented with this beautiful Naskapi Indian hide coat, now on display at the Rooms Museum, St. John’s, Newfoundland. A priceless artifact. A rich and colourful saga. And a symbol of the endlessly fascinating world of The Collectors.
